Governance Structure
Global SaTA (Science and Traditions Association) operates through a structured governance framework ensuring strategic direction, ethical oversight, and operational excellence.
1. Governing Council
Responsibility: Strategic direction, institutional development, partnerships, and overall governance.
Founder & Chair
Mr. Anukul Goswami — Provides overall leadership, strategic vision, and global coordination across all SaTA initiatives.
Vice Chair (Community & Public Engagement)
Dr. Kailash Parekh MBE, JP — Leads community integration, civic partnerships, and societal outreach.
2. Executive Board
Responsibility: Thematic leadership, research direction, and integration across disciplines.
- Director, Integrative Health & Consciousness — Dr. Amrita Sharma
Leads work on Ayurveda, mind-body systems, and consciousness studies. - Director, Traditional Knowledge & Environmental Systems — Dr. Ulrich Berk
Oversees research on traditional ecological and environmental knowledge systems. - Director, Agriculture, Sustainability & Rural Systems — Dr. Sudhir Sharan
Leads initiatives on sustainable agriculture, rural development, and socio-economic systems. - Director, AI & Digital Systems — Mr. Abhishek Verma
Guides digital infrastructure, AI integration, and ethical technology frameworks.
3. Advisory Council
A multidisciplinary body comprising international scholars, clinicians, policymakers, and cultural leaders.
Role:
- Provide academic and strategic guidance
- Ensure scientific rigour and epistemological balance
- Support global collaborations and institutional credibility
(Members to be expanded across all SaTA sections and geographies.)
4. Conference & Academic Council
Responsibility: Planning, scientific content, and publication outputs.
Structure:
- Section Chairs (I–VIII: Foundations → Technology)
- Scientific Review Committee (peer review, abstracts, papers)
- Editorial Board (conference proceedings, publications, policy documents)
Functions:
- Curate plenary sessions and interdisciplinary tracks
- Integrate cross-sectional dialogue
- Produce final policy frameworks and published proceedings
5. Research & Policy Division
Focus: Generating evidence-informed frameworks and influencing systems.
Functions:
- Develop integrative research models
- Produce white papers and policy briefs
- Engage with public health bodies and global institutions
6. Community & Implementation Division
Focus: Bridging theory into practice at community level.
Functions:
- Develop community-based health and well-being programmes
- Support integrated care initiatives
- Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and service providers
7. Ethics, Standards & Governance Committee
Focus: Ensuring integrity, accountability, and cultural sensitivity.
Functions:
- Establish ethical research standards
- Maintain scientific credibility and transparency
- Ensure respectful integration of traditional knowledge systems
8. Partnerships & Global Collaboration Unit
Focus: Driving institutional alliances and international engagement.
Functions:
- Build partnerships with universities, research centres, and governments
- Facilitate cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Expand global presence of SaTA
9. Digital, Publications & Knowledge Dissemination Unit
Focus: Supporting communication, publication, and knowledge sharing.
Functions:
- Manage journals, books, and conference proceedings
- Develop digital platforms and knowledge repositories
- Support AI-driven dissemination and global outreach
